Your new company
A manufacturing company based in Halifax is looking for an experienced HR administrator to support their welcoming team. This is an amazing opportunity to help drive employee engagement and get involved with assisting the HR and Training Manager with efficient processing of day-to-day common HR practices.
If you have around 2 years of HR admin experience, this could be the perfect next step for you, which includes a 3pm finish on a Friday, free parking, free fruit on-site, and free corporate gym membership.

Your new role
Within this role, your responsibilities will include:

* Absence management. Ensure all absences are recorded, Return to Work Interviews are conducted within 24 hours of return to work. Analysing and reporting on unsatisfactory absence levels.

* Action all holiday requests and approvals (staff and warehouse, despatch & transport) in a timely manner and provide notification to the employee.

* Day to day common HR practices, including attendance at formal concern, investigation and disciplinary meetings to ensure a fair and transparent process is upheld, and accurate notes are taken. All relevant administration associated with such meetings is completed in a timely manner.

* Cascade HR management system task management. The task manager in Cascade should be cleared, wherever possible, daily. This is to include holiday requests, clothing requests, change of details, absence and disciplinary records. This list is not exhaustive.

* Employee engagement to include daily engagement with colleagues around all areas of site discussing all HR and employee well-being and informative subjects. Promoting employee assistance platforms, company benefits and volunteering opportunities. This list is not exhaustive.

* Monitor Supervisor Reports to ensure any actions relevant to the HR department are brought to satisfactory conclusions.

* Induction and New Starter process. Create induction packs for new starters. Once induction has been completed, Cascade new starter process to complete.

* Complete the leaver process from acknowledgement to face to face exit interviews.

* Complete all external reference requests – financial and employment.

* Responsibility for the administration of the Company Benefits programs.

* Support the HR & Training Manager by taking responsibility for the day-to-day common HR practices, and report regularly on progress and status of all practices, reporting straight away any areas of concern.

What you'll need to succeed

* Desirable: previous experience within a HR administration role (2 years+)
* Excellent customer service skills and a can-do approach.
* Attention to detail, a strong team working ethos.
* You will have strong Microsoft Office skills specifically with Excel.
