Your new role

* Role will include the following responsibilities, either being accountable for, assisting or covering for other team members:
* Respond to general HR queries and coach and advise managers and non-managers on a wide range of employment matters and HR processes
* Identifying practical solutions to issues that reflect
* Providing HR expertise and company knowledge
* Ensuring consistency of approach
* Escalating/seeking advice where appropriate
* In particular, provide advice, support and guidance to managers in dealing with recruitment, health/absence, performance and ER issues, and act as a coach to new managers
* Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships
* Carry out exit interviews
* Maintain Cascade (or other) HR information system effectively
* Ensure all employee and HR information is stored correctly and promptly and systems are in place to enable accessibility
* Maintain internal records of process compliance and records required for audit or other processing/information purposes
* Produce, and sometimes analyse, HR reports & management Information
* Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure appropriate, accurate and timely information is shared, particularly with payroll, and other teams such as Marketing & Communications, IS and Finance
* Support, and take ownership as directed, cyclical HR projects e.g. employee engagement survey, annual salary and bonus review, insurance and benefit renewals, volunteering day
* Proactively contribute to (or lead if appropriate) ongoing initiatives, e.g. health & safety committee, diversity & inclusion, and ad-hoc projects
* Provide guidance on identifying and meeting training and development needs and support centrally managed training and development activities
* Provide input into reviews and implementation of policy and procedure
* Maintain constructive relationships with external partners e.g. learning & development provider, employment lawyers and insurance brokers
* On rare occasions, manage work visa sponsorship process
* Assist with people aspects of business changes or new business, if and when they may arise, e.g. TUPE

What you'll need to succeed
CIPD L5 (or equivalent)
Experience of working in a fast-paced HR environment
Have good data and Excel skills
