We are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust) a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care.

We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset

If you are looking for your next challenge in a senior HR role, this could be the position for you. Reporting to the Deputy Director for People, you’ll manage the Trust wide HR Business Partner function and a small team of HR specialists providing HR advice and support to our Corporate Services.

This position is offered on a full-time basis, hybrid or flexible working will be available and the option to job share is available if required.

As an experienced Business Partner, you’ll work closely with the Deputy Director for People. You’ll also have exposure to the Executive Team and other senior staff as you provide leadership to the HR team and manage the HR Business Partner function. Working strategically, with a solution focused and creative approach, you will support the delivery of the people plan, manage HR related subject access and freedom of information requests.

You’ll be data savvy, know your way around a spreadsheet and be able to produce HR information and reporting to help inform the AWP workforce report and Divisional reports. In addition, you’ll manage a small team of people providing HR support to Corporate Services including Bank and Estates and Facilities.

Experience of the NHS including ESR and other NHS systems would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be given.

At AWP we actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds; we are particularly keen to encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBTQ+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge to AWP, as diversity makes us stronger.
