Director for People

We are looking for a new Director for People who shares our commitment to delivering change and improving lives, someone who will take us to the next level, developing a culture and workforce which are modern, agile, dedicated and representative.

As a key member of Norfolk County Council’s wider leadership team providing expert advice and contributing to the council’s planning and prioritisation, this is a fantastic career opportunity where you’ll ensure colleagues are motivated, skilled and equipped to deliver outstanding value for money services.

Our ideal candidate will be bold and innovative, someone who has built and managed high performing, operational and strategic teams focused on delivering People services at scale. You will be a strong people leader and communicator who understands the value of maintaining healthy, collaborative cross functional relationships. You will bring a track record of empowering and inspiring a large and diverse workforce – NCC has around 6,700 employees - working closely with Trade Unions and championing equality, diversity and inclusion and a strong performance culture.
