Job Details
My exclusive client is a highly successful FMCG business in Chichester who are keen to add a positive, resilient HR Advisor to the team.
Your new role
As an HR Advisor, you will report to another HR Advisor and a Head of HR who will provide a supportive, collaborative working environment where you will have the chance to contribute ideas and develop your knowledge.
This role supports the day-to-day delivery of HR activity with a specific focus on assisting the hiring process, helping to create and schedule employee training, and entering employee records into the company database. General HR administration is required too.
Main responsibilities include:
* Lead and support with Employee Relations cases.
* Assist with recruitment activities across the businesses using Indeed and relevant agencies.
* Provide support with the onboarding process for new starters including preparing and sending contracts and new starter documentation, running inductions, ensuring correct RTW checks are completed, and reference checks are completed.
* Provide support with the employee leaver process including exit surveys.
* Assist with Employee Voice meetings.
* Support monthly Payroll for each business in the Group
* Support with the administration of L&D activities
* Support with the development and administration of the Competency Mapping & Performance Development programme.
* General administrative support to the HR team
* Creating staff handbooks and newsletters.
* Updating employee holiday and sickness records.
* Set up training events, organising meetings and minute taking.
* Produce weekly and monthly overtime reports.
* Manage Employee of the Month survey.
Working hours: 20 / week part-time (vs 40 hours FTE) between Monday-Thursday. Start / finish times are flexible such as 9am-2pm, 10am-3pm or 11am-4pm).
What you'll need to succeed
This opportunity will suit an HR or People professional who has worked in an HR / People Officer, Coordinator or Advisor role with strong experience of HR administration, recruitment and onboarding, supporting or leading on ER case work and L&D and training. Experience within an FMCG or manufacturing business will be an advantage but is not essential and other industries will be considered. You must be CIPD qualified too (Level 3 minimum).
You must be a highly organised person with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to communicate effectively and build trust at all levels of a business. Other important attributes include being commercially aware, having the ability to use your own initiative to problem solve and having proficient MS Office skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
