Fantastic opportunity to join our AWE Leadership team as the new Director of HR.



In this role you will act as a strategic partner leading the HR business partner team, playing a crucial role in aligning the organisation's people strategy with business objectives. Fostering a strong corporate culture, implementing strategic workforce planning, performance focus and innovation, this role is instrumental in promoting employee development, satisfaction and engagement. The role will identify opportunities for overall efficiency, workforce transformation and ensure the business operates in accordance with organisational behaviours and purpose.



Key Accountabilities:

* Lead the development of the People Strategy and plans for functional area of the business, working with Executive Directors, HR business partners and HR Centres of Excellence's as required.
* Provide direction, support, coaching and training to Executive and Business leaders to deliver the people strategy and plan.
* Own the strategic workforce plan initiatives plan, driving delivery to plan and facilitating risk optioneering discussions.
* Identify internal and external trends and commission strategic analysis and recommendations from the wider HR team, including external benchmarking to facilitate key people recommendations and decisions that deliver the people aspects of the business plan.
* As part of the HR Senior Leadership team drive cultural change both within the function and across AWE.
* Initiate, sponsor and direct strategic HR project delivery, managing change for specific projects and initiatives that deliver business value.
* Drive succession planning for Directors & senior leaders, ensuring linkage across all functional areas.
* Act as an interface between the AWE business and HR function to ensure alignment and delivery of strategic initiatives and service delivery to meet demands and commercial objectives.
* Provide leadership and management to the HRBP team, developing and maintaining the right culture to retain and develop staff, serve the needs of the business and promote customer service excellence.

* Knowledge of employment law, compensation, organisation planning, organisation development, leadership and talent development.



Qualifications and/or professional memberships - CIPD or equivalent HR qualification.



Location - Reading and surrounding areas.
