Are you an experienced HR or Employee Relations Advisor looking for a new opportunity?  If so, then look no further…

We're looking for someone to join our team here in York for 12 months, covering for parental leave. Our Employee Resources Advisors are integral to or employee experience, providing best practice employee relations advice and dealing with all manner of routine and complex enquiries.

People truly are at the heart of our business, so you'll need to be passionate about providing a great service to your fellow colleagues and internal customers.

You'll act as subject matter expert for all employee relations and industrial relations enquiries so will need to be fully up to date with legislation. Alongside this, you'll provide coaching and training to our line mangers, helping them make confident and robust decisions.

What else will you be involved in?

  • Providing guidance and robust case management support to our management teams.
  • Coaching and supporting line managers to enable them to develop confidence and competence when delivering their people plans.
  • Provide expert change management advice and support for implementation for change programmes.
  • Updating and reviewing policies, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions and legislation.

Does this sound just the opportunity for you?  As a temporary role, were looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running. You'll have experience in a similar role and be ready to get stuck into a new challenge. You'll also ideally have;

  • Experience working in a complex, unionised environment.
  • Able to act in an advisory capacity at consultation meetings.
  • High attention to detail, especially when compiling documentation for consultations.
  • Be an effective influencer, able to develop relationships effectively and at all levels.
  • Effective at dispute resolution techniques.
  • Qualified with CIPD and/or an employment law degree, diploma or recognised certification at an advanced level (or qualified by experience).

The role is based in our Head Office in York working Monday to Friday.
