Your new company
My client is a multi-faceted business and an employer of choice in Hampshire, who continue to build on their proud reputation of serving their large customer base in the local area.

Your new role
As the ER Manager (Employee Relations), you will provide expert and proactive case management of employee-related issues that encourages and enables line managers within a large, key area of the business, to take accountability to resolve cases in line with employment legislation and social policy.
Main responsibilities include:

* Provide pragmatic and timely advice on all ER cases; disciplinary, grievance, appeal and investigation meetings, and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion. Coach and influence line managers to ensure the appropriate outcome is achieved in each case.
* Manage ACAS conciliation and ET claims, organising case reviews, preparing documents and providing risk assessments and recommendations for resolution to your line manager / other managers.
* Manage employee consultation, redeployment or termination of employment through TUPE and redundancy exercises. Liaise with recognised trade union representatives on any changes as appropriate.
* Contribute to regular reviews and amend employment policies in line with changes to employment legislation and ACAS codes of Practice. Assist in communicating changes and updates to line managers.
* Attend high risk and/or complex hearings and meetings within the 2 business areas to advise and take notes.
* In liaison with the L&D (Learning and Development) Manager, provide formal training and tools for line managers to improve capability in managing ER issues including conducting investigations and formal hearings, conduct versus capability, decision-making and note-taking.

Working hours: 39 / week Monday-Friday. This role offers hybrid working of 2 days office (near Portsmouth) vs 3 days home per week on average beyond probation (2-3 months), but this could be sooner for the successful applicant.

What you\'ll need to succeed
This role will suit someone who has experience in a lead ER specialist or an ER biased HR generalist role, ideally CIPD qualified (Level 5+). Any industry will be considered, but a background in retail, leisure or hospitality is preferred. Having worked in a multi-site role will be an advantage too.
You must be commercially aware with the ability to coach and influence people at all levels, having managed a variety of complexity of ER case work. This role will also require you to plan and prioritise effectively, being comfortable working with changing priorities.

What you\'ll get in return
You will receive a market-led salary between £50,000-£53,000 (DOE) per annum, 26 days holiday +BH\'s, pension matched to 5% and hybrid working as above.
Other generous benefits include: private medical insurance, group life assurance, company sick pay, free onsite parking and income protection insurance.
