Purpose of Role
Our client is seeking an experienced People Services & Systems Lead to lead and manage the team dedicated to the core HR systems and processes across our clients organisation. As the People Services & Systems Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of People Projects as well as the smooth functioning of all People processes, systems, and the colleagues that support these activities. Reporting into the Head of People & Culture, your responsibilities will span across People operations, projects, and the transactional element of the payroll.
Accountabilities
Team & Delivery
* Effective line management and leadership of the team, ensuring all people processes are adhered to whilst embedding a customer service approach.
* Is responsible and accountable for maintaining accurate and secure real time people data and proactively sharing this within the broader People team for review within the business areas
* Acts as a People Systems Champion to all internal and external stakeholders on people systems and their integration to People processes, policies, procedures, data.
* Proactively seek opportunities to improve ways of working, including creating, designing and implementing approaches that enhance the people service received by internal customers.
* Design, implement and conduct data and process audits through data cleanses and other relevant mechanisms as well as support any company wide audit requirements.
* Analyse, review and improve the payroll process
* Manage all supplier relationships related to HR & payroll processes including budget management
* Development of continuous improvement using reportable KPI's across the People team
Systems, Project Management & Change Management
* In conjunction with key business stakeholders, own and develop a People systems roadmap that will deliver a new core People System in the medium-term.
* Input ideas to and advocate the roadmap over the short, medium, and long term
* Accountable for the HR audit by assisting internal and external auditors with compliance, engaging with the People Partners to align with latest employee legislation to ensure People processes remain compliant
* Manage the full implementation of People projects (systems, data, process, and procedure) across the business, including both the project and change management tasks and activities.
* Project management activities to include planning and delivery of tasks to required standards on time, to quality and to budget, and effective reporting out on status & progress across these KPIs
* Change management activities to include stakeholder engagement and effective communication; testing, training and development activities; full stakeholder alignment on business requirements; use of feedback tools to understand impacts of People systems, data, processes and procedures (pre and post rollout)
* Defines and documents the required business processes on behalf of Business Process Owner(s)
* Develops and empowers the People Services & Systems team to deliver an effective output to the business.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Experience with instigating or delivering business operational change, including a solid understanding of employee engagement and partnering senior managers and the People team to produce short-term to longer term plans.
* A clear understanding of the commercial drivers of the business and how reliable and accurate People systems, data management, process and procedures can play a key role in the success
* Experience to find appropriate compromise between using and instilling industry best practice to taking a pragmatic approach to find the optimal solution for the business.
* A good knowledge of and strong technical skills within people systems, data management, processes and procedures with evidence of successful application
* Strong people manager, with a track record in developing their direct reports, and is also able to influence and indirectly 'matrix' manage different stakeholders across the business.
* A strong working knowledge of GDPR and experience of working with sensitive employee information.
