Hours: full time @ 40 hrs per week, 52 weeks a year (8.00 am - 4.30 pm)

Holiday: 30 days per year + bank holidays

The Department & The Role

The HR Manager role sits at the heart of our four vibrant and diverse school sites. The position requires a strong HR Generalist, an innovative and agile thinker who enjoys tackling a wide range of issues at any one time. The successful candidate will be interacting with all staff with the desire to offer an impeccable HR provision.

You will be responsible for the HR function across the four Burlington House School sites, which together employ up to 100 staff, and will be expected to base yourself at each site during your working week.

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to oversee the complete employee lifecycle including:

  • Employee Relations cases ensuring they adhere to Burlington House School policy and ACAS best practice
  • All recruitment from advert to onboarding and ensure Safer Recruitment practices are followed at all times
  • Management of the Single Central register
  • Oversight and management of part of the payroll process
  • Offboarding and management of leavers
  • Staff learning and development
  • Policy creation and review
  • The ability to work flexibly is possible, with prior agreement.
