This is a new role and getting the right person with the above skills and abilities is key.  The specific requirements of the role will be shaped to fit your level of experience.  You could be a competent HR administrator wanting to get your CIPD qualifications and take the next step in your HR career, or perhaps you have your CIPD qualifications and experience but are looking for a new challenge.  Whilst specific requirements will be tailored to your level of experience, the key areas you will be involved in are:

  • Providing a high quality, efficient and effective Trust HR Administration function, with the support of the HR Administrators and Business Managers.
  • Supporting the People Business Partner in the provision of an efficient, professional and effective HR Advisory service to first line managers and leadership teams in line with employment legislation and best practice.  
  • Liaising with the finance team and providing timely and accurate information to enable effective payroll services.

You will be based in Billingshurst (or possibly Chichester or Cuckfield) but travel to our academy sites within Sussex will be required. Our Trust began as the Warden Park Academy Trust in 2011 when the successful Warden Park Secondary in Cuckfield became one of the first schools in the country to convert to academy status. Shortly afterwards Heyworth Primary School in Haywards Heath became a constituent part of the Trust and changed its name to Warden Park Primary Academy (WPPA). In 2014 Jonathan Morris joined as CEO and the Trust decided a name was needed to reflect the intention to reach out and partner with like-minded schools and academies. The transformation of WPPA from ‘special measures’ to the threshold of ‘outstanding’ has been remarkable and testament to outstanding leadership and the benefits of being in a Multi Academy Trust. Meanwhile Warden Park Secondary Academy (WPSA) has gone from strength to strength and is working towards an ‘outstanding’ accreditation at its next inspection.

In June 2023, SLT welcomed Woodgate Primary Academy (WGPA) into the Trust. The school moved into a fantastic new building and is anticipating welcoming increased pupil numbers as it joins the Trust.

The relationship between our Primary and Secondary academies is outstanding, providing excellent pedagogical and Professional Development links and opportunities for teachers, support staff and pupils to mix readily in shared learning projects with very desirable outcomes. The relationship can be defined as one of mutuality.
