There has never been a more important or interesting time to get involved with RIBA. Our world is changing at pace and the context in which we operate is increasingly complex. There are many challenges and opportunities ahead that will impact the profession and society in the coming years; the climate change emergency, technology innovation and regulatory reform to name a few. It is consequently imperative that our organisation is performant and appropriately structured and equipped to support the profession and society we serve.

As an independent member of our Remuneration Committee, you will play an important governance role, reviewing and recommending remuneration policies for RIBA staff and senior management, and monitoring executive pay and benefits to ensure that we operate with fair and transparent compensation practices.

We are looking for a new committee member with skills and experience in at least one of the following: organisational development, strategic people management, culture change, business transformation or employment law and regulation.

Whilst non-executive experience and prior exposure to a professional body is helpful, they are not pre-requisite. The currency of your expertise, and your commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion is most important, so this might be an ideal first step to a non-executive career.
