Job Details
Are you an expert in payroll and HR systems, organisational change, employment law or employee engagement and culture change?
Under new HR leadership, Knowsley Council is in the process of creating our first People Strategy. We recognise the importance and impact of excellent HR services and therefore we’re investing in growing our HR Team. If you believe in a people-first approach and want to be part of an exciting journey to transform our HR and OD service and develop Knowsley’s first-ever People Strategy – we may have the role for you. We’re recruiting a range of roles including Strategic HR Business Partners, a Shared Operational HR Service Manager, HR Casework and Investigations Officers, a Payroll & HR Services Manager and graduate roles.
Knowsley is part of the Liverpool City Region, with the population here growing faster than the City Region as a whole. We have huge ambitions for our workforce, our residents and local communities. The population is becoming more diverse, and we want our workforce to be representative of the communities we serve, particularly welcoming applications for these roles from all under-represented groups.
As well as Knowsley Safari Park attracting over 600,000 visitors per year, the Borough is also home to the iconic Shakespeare North Playhouse which has welcomed over 100,000 visitors in its first year, the second largest business park in the North West consisting of 800 businesses employing 18,600 people as well and Liverpool and Everton FC’s training ground.
We promote applications from all sections of the community, regardless of background, belief, or identity, recognising the value that diversity brings to our organisation. We particularly welcome applications from individuals from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and candidates with disabilities as we acknowledge their underrepresentation in our workforce.
At Knowsley Council, we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, hybrid working, compressed hours, and part-time.
The closing date for applications is Sunday, 7 July 2024
