Job Details
Reporting to the Head of HR Business Partnering and Operations. This role is a key management role in the People Centre. Providing transactional service for 5,000+ colleagues working for the Council from recruitment through to retirement and everything in between. Whilst pay is not included it's still busy and involves leading a team to deliver on a day-to-day basis.
In addition, as the Senior Manager, you will be expected to review processes and deliver greater efficiencies through system automation. You will also manage the Conflict Resolution Team. We are ambitious at the Council and recognise the need to continually improve what we do.
You'll also lead relationships with our key contract providers ensuring our ambitions are delivered on time, effectively and add value to our service.

* Experience of delivering an operational transactional service for medium-large, complex organisation.

* You will have sound and detailed knowledge of employment law combined with a practical understanding of good practice in people management.
* Your ability to engage with complex concepts and issues and communicate these clearly and simply is one of your strengths
