Job Details
Hays are working with a leader in the construction industry to recruit an HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As an HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role within the HR team, providing expert HR guidance and support to managers and employees throughout the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
Support the onboarding and offboarding process for employees
* Assist managers with employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans, and advise on managing workplace absence and support organisational policies and practices
* Promote workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives
* Guide managers through performance review processes, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting reviews
* Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and contribute to the development and updating of HR policies and procedure
* Support initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction
* Maintain accurate employee records and track HR metrics
* Support HR projects and initiatives as needed
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in an HR advisory or generalist role
* Proven track record with HR projects and process improvement initiatives
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient with MS Office suite
* Knowledge of Oracle systems would be desirable
* CIPD part or fully qualified and/or 3rd level qualification in HR or a business-related discipline would be desirable
