Your new company
We are pleased to be working on a fantastic new job opportunity with a public sector organisation who are keen to appoint a Learning and Development Officer to join their busy People Team in Sheffield. This role requires an immediate start and is a fixed contract for 9-10 months.

Your new role

This role will report to a Learning and Development Manager and is part of a busy People Team.
The successful applicant will ideally have held a similar role previously and be able to demonstrate this on application.
Duties and responsibilities of the post will include;
- Provide support to the Learning and Development Manager
- Provide generalist HR Assistant support for the team
- Support Business Leaders and Staff Line Managers with learning and development opportunities
- Lead on the organisation of programmes of learning and workshops
- Design and deliver workshop material for training
- Update and maintain learner platforms
- Conduct research into training available and training providers relevant to the business
- Produce regular data reports to the wider People Team and HRBP's
- Additional People Officer/ HR Officer tasks where required, including attending meetings (taking notes in attendance meetings/ grievances tec)
- Use of MS Office and internal systems

What you'll need to succeed
- Knowledge of HR, recruitment and learning and development policies/ procedures
- Previous HR Assistance experience
- Experience of using people and training systems and platforms
