The Human Resources Management Advisor will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative job and organisational design, compensation and benefits programs as well as job evaluation strategies that align with the Portfolio of the Civil Service overarching strategic priorities. The role will be focusing on job families, career planning, organisational design and succession planning. This role will contribute significantly to the organization's ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
Education and Experience
Essential
- A relevant Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience – to include strategic level HR, the management of talent, compensation strategies and job evaluation/grading.
- Experience to include a minimum of 5 years as a senior HR manager.
- A relevant management qualification or equivalent.
- A job evaluation certification or equivalent;
- A professional HR certification or equivalent.
Desirable
- Relevant experience to include the in-depth use and application of the Korn Ferry Architect and/or Profile Manager software.
- Demonstrated experience in organisational design and restructuring
Knowledge
- Considerable knowledge of current trends and practices within human resources, with a deep understanding of modern talent management and Job Families.
- Although not essential, a good working knowledge of the Cayman Islands Government and its procedures and operations would be helpful.
• Demonstrate the core competencies as articulated in the Job Description.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the Hay/Kornferry (KF) Methodology of Job Evaluation and extensive knowledge of job family structures as well as career mapping, stakeholder engagement and organisational design.
Benefits will be determined in accordance with the Public Service Management Act and Personnel Regulations, the Public Service Pensions Act and the CINICO Health Plan. Salaries are offered without deductions. The Government provides an additional 12% pension contribution and health insurance for employees and their dependents. Employment will intitially be for a 2 year fixed term contract, with the possiblity of renewal based on performance.
