Job Details

Your new company
Working for one of the UK's largest supply chain & logistics company, working on one of their sites in South London with 600 HC on site. This role is a 5-days-a-week, on-site-based role Monday-Friday.

Your new role
This is an operational HR role within a team of 4 HR professionals (HR Advisor, HR Admin & HR Manager). This role will mainly working with key stakeholders within the distrubution site to coach and advise on 1st line employee queries such as holidays, sickness, employee relations.

Employee relations - Coaching managers on how to manage ER issues, taking on investigations, minutes
Industrial relations - Working with the union (Unite) to build relationships and ensure all employees are covered by policy and procedures
HR Operations - On-boarding and off-boarding of employee details, updating annual leave, sickness records, etc...
HR Project support - Ad-hoc support for delivery of HR project plans which is communicated from group level
Lead on ED&I and wellbeing programmes at a local level

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be someone who has experience working with site-based staff within environments such as logistics, retail, manufacturing and construction. The company are passionate about their wellbeing, engagement, learning development and reward. Therefore, it would be great for someone to have experience of this. This is an operational HR role, therefore any experience within HRSSC or HR Ops would be an advantage.

* HR Operations experience - Reporting for sickness, annual leave, onboarding etc...
* Employee relations experience - Understanding of 1st line and investigation queries, background in hands-on support to managers and employees
* Ability to influence stakeholders in a blue-collar environment
* Can work 5 days on site in South East London
* 5+ years of experience of working in an operational HR role
