My client is looking to recruit an Employee Development Advisor on a part-time, 30 hours a week basis.

This is a newly created role and will support the delivery of the business’s people development strategy by supporting a range of activities relating to the engagement and development of people, running initiatives and providing guidance to managers and employees, encouraging an environment that enables people to make the best use of their capabilities and potential to the benefit of both the individual and the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

Create, support and ‘champion’ a range of engagement and communication solutions to support the business strategy and people agenda and to encourage employee engagement and involvement, using methods such as engagement surveys, questionnaires and employee feedback forums

Support Company events on a small and large scale to ensure the activities are planned and effectively run

Develop, co-ordinate and run the induction process for new employees to ensure employees are effectively integrated in the business in their first year of employment

Support the annual performance review process by assessing and analysing staff feedback, training and development needs

Support the annual training and development plan by organising learning events and opportunities that enable business objectives to be achieved

Take ownership for running and continuously reviewing internal communication publications and other mediums for sharing information

Support public relations activities and events that promote the organisation in the community, such as open days and charitable events

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of employee development and training, an awareness of employee engagement initiatives and an understanding of induction and integration activities. In addition you will also possess:

•Ability to network effectively across the business
•Good relationship and communication skills
•Facilitation and training skills
•Passion and enthusiasm for learning and development
•Understanding of training needs analysis
•Co-ordination and support of Company events
