What's it like to work in the CSC?

Our brand new Customer Support Centre is right at the heart of our growing Boots business. Our expert teams are passionate about being No.1 for customer care, whether it’s for our external customers or our colleagues internally. We have opportunities for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our open and friendly Customer Support Centre as HR Advisors. With your extensive employee relations experience you could contribute directly to Boots’ ambition to become the world’s best pharmacy led health and beauty retailer, with a reputation for legendary customer service.

All about the role...

You will work as part of a 20 strong team that handle around 300 calls a day. These calls will be from our line managers across our stores, opticians and head office. You’ll provide immediate ‘in the moment’ advice on a day-to-day basis, that takes into account the very latest employment legislation.

The cases you’ll handle will vary from disciplinary and grievance cases to performance and capability issues, ranging in degrees of complexity, from straight-forward return-to-work cases, to potential gross misconduct cases.

You will always strive to deliver the team’s high customer satisfaction targets with your focus on giving professional, friendly and expert advice. With our aim of driving line manager capability you will use your coaching ability to effectively coach managers into making their own decisions.

What we're looking for

You could be in a similar or more generalist role, either way you’ll have extensive experience of applying your up-to-date employment law knowledge to a variety of employee relations issues.

You must be comfortable giving immediate advice that is accurate, commercially-focused and often complex, to help your line managers make the right decisions.

You’ll be a strong communicator who’s able to build great relationships over the phone and get to the nub of the issue quickly.

You’ll also be a strong influencer, able to get the right balance of coaching and persuasion into every call.

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked in a shared service centre / contact centre environment before, however, you will need to be prepared for this type of environment.

What we can offer you

In return, you’ll be able to build your skills and HR expertise within a supportive team. With an excellent in house Capability function we can offer you a diverse range of learning and development courses and programmes that will help you in your role and any future roles.

You’ll also enjoy a range of benefits including company pension scheme, annual bonus and staff discount in our Boots shops.

Our site in Nottingham also has a wide range of facilities including Costa coffee and Starbucks, dry cleaners, a gym and even our very own Boots shop.

Boots welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
