Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this niche organisation based in Gloucester to recruit a talented HR Manager / Business Partner on a permanent basis.

You will execute the day to day provision of Employee Relations Services, policies and procedures and proactively support your business areas on key projects to drive business success. The role has management responsibility for 1 Senior HR Officer and 1 HR Officer.

Key Responsibilities

* Leadership and management of the UK Employee Relations Team
* Manage the delivery of Employee Relations support to the UK Managers & Employees through thorough practices in case management
* Partner with all management in the group to deliver a value-added HR service in line with the needs and priorities of the business, whilst developing management ownership and playing an integral role in the management teams
* Proactively influence, support, develop and coach Managers in their approach and consideration of employee relations issues, ensuring that they understand the impact of these on the individual and the business
* Proactively influence, support, develop and coach managers to manage the full spectrum of employee relations issues using policies and procedures, ideally resolving issues informally where possible, establishing a positive employer-employee relationship and ensuring minimal exposure to employment related litigation
* Act as an impartial adjudicator in sensitive cases when employee complaints or concerns are brought forward, including informal dispute resolution / mediation approaches
* Partner the business in organisation development, to coach managers through projects for succession planning, workforce development, employee engagement, employee retention, organization design, restructuring and change management
* Support managers with high level absence management issues including long term absence and occupational health initiatives
* Ownership and continual review and development of the UK Employee handbook and core ER processes contained therein
* Design and deliver management training programmes to promote management ownership of ER issues and professional development
* Partner with HR colleagues in the implementation of the strategic plan, projects and initiatives to positively add value to the business and its employees
* Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements as necessary to streamline HR activities and where possible resolves any discrepancies
* Support the continuing review of all HR policies, programs and practices implementing changes where necessary and updating the HR Director

Key skills / qualifications

* CIPD qualified with active affiliation
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Sound progression through Human Resources positions
* Excellent understanding of employment law and employee relations
* Self-motivated individual with the ability to work on his or her own initiative
* Very strong verbal and written communication skills
* Flexible approach to working, able to work under pressure in a fast, dynamic and driven environment
* Well organised, with the ability to manage own time and prioritise workload
* Ability to make decisions in line with business, customer and client needs
