Interim Learning & Development Director required for urgent role based in Reading.
Reporting to the HR Director, this role forms part of the HR Leadership Team within the organisations 'Centre of Excellence' and has been designed to cover a period of significant transformation - picking up several key projects and 'steadying the ship' whilst they recruit a new permanent person.
The role highlights include (but are limited too);
* Leading the design, development and implementation of their Learning Management Strategy, integrating L&D, Resourcing, Organisation Design and Talent Management activities
* Adopting all Learning Development and Talent workstreams within the HR Transformation project
* Implementing the design and delivery of effective development strategies, aimed at significantly reducing the time it takes to develop core skills and capability across the business
* Leading the creation and effective implementation of Leadership, Technical, Emerging and Graduate development strategies and delivery models
* Bringing a commercial and specialist knowledge to bear in the leadership of L&D, Resourcing, Organisation Design and Talent Management teams (c45-50 staff)
Suitable applicants must be senior learning profesisonals with experince gained in large, complex, industrial-type environments, where you have demonstrable experince operating at the top level.
You will own and lead the learning strategy, whilst demonstating a hands on approach and an innovative / creative acumen, when it comes to building large scale Learning / Capability solutions.
You will also demonstrate strong leadership skills (your team comprises 25 staff with 5 direct reports) and be able to operate effectively in an extremely sensitive, complex, and challenging environment.
