This leading business based in Swindon seeks a talented HR Assistant to join their dynamic HR team on a permanent basis.

* Reporting to the Head of HR, you will assist in the provision of advice to all employees on HR matters covering three main areas; Generalist employee support, Recruitment and HR systems administration (including payroll administration)
* Specific duties will include:
* Providing Generalist 1st line support to the business
* Supporting managers on Employee Relations matters related to disciplinary, grievance, absence management & performance management
* Preparing draft employee documents including; offer letters, contracts of employment, variations to contracts, promotion/remuneration changes, termination, and external reference requests
* Providing support and guidance to recruitment
* Assisting with Payroll administration
* Systems administration
* Undertaking project and policy development work as directed
* Any other office based administration tasks, such as maintaining employee files, stationary ordering, post, access card activation and reception duties

Suitable applicants will ideally be studying towards CIPD (not essential), with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have solid generalist transactional experience (particularly when dealing with absence management), be able to work autonomously with little supervision, have the ability to multi task and prioritise conflicting demands and, be able to use your own initiative, whilst remaining calm under pressure. Strong IT skills are also a pre-requisite.
