Henlee is working in partnership with this International Business with its UK Head Office in Swindon to recruit a talented HR Coordinator on an initial 9-month fixed term contract to cover for maternity leave. Ideally the role will be full time, however the organisation may look at a candidate who is prepared to work 5 part days or maybe 4 full days. Full time is the preferred option.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be key in supporting the operation of the business by providing an effective and professional HR transactional service including administration of performance & attendance management, employee relations, recruitment & selection and benefits.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

* Be the first point of contact for queries, advice and support to line managers and employees across your business area
* Maintain the human resource database / intranet and all employee records and files, including hardcopy files
* Complete reporting functions involving attendance & absence statistics, hire, termination, and transfer data, and other information assigned
* Work with outsourced partner on immigration applications and renewals
* Administer and monitor relocation reimbursement and partners with relocation companies
* Administer employee health, welfare and retirement plans including starts & leavers and annual renewal administration
* Receive and respond to requests concerning HR policies/ programs. Appropriately route requests from employees to others for additional information
* Process various paper and electronic forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire on-boarding, change-of-status, employment changes, benefits, termination of employment
* Raise employee communication and documents, modification of employment contracts etc.
* Provide information to employees on matters pertaining to their personal employee information, e.g. employment references
* Conduct on-boarding administration and activities
* Perform data gathering and analysis as it relates to compensation and / or benefits activities
* Support employee exit interview process
* Conduct HR interviews to support the recruitment process
* Support probation review process with line managers
* Support intermediate and work reference process with line managers
* Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, guidelines and procedures

Skills & characteristics

* Experience of working in a commercial environment
* Perseverance and resilience under pressure
* Ability to build a strong reputation by developing relationships in an approachable and friendly manner
* Ability to communicate effectively in both writing and verbally, with professionalism and discretion
* Highly motivated and flexible in approach to work, with demonstrable capacity for adapting to challenging and changing work and deadlines
* Ability to work in a busy environment without close supervision and to be able to prioritise and organise work effectively, ensuring strong attention to detail and a focus on delivery

Desirable skills & experience

* Ideally CIPD level 3 qualified with experience of working with HR colleagues across multiple locations
* Experience or knowledge of UK employment legislation and working practices, preferably within a blue-chip environment
